CWA master planned the 6 acre (2.5 hectare) site and designed the facilities. The four-building complex consists of administrative offices, research laboratories, an oyster hatchery, a visitor’s lab, dormitories, a marina, and a maintenance shop. Site improvements included the creation of a harbor and the re-alignment of existing rock jetties.
