The State of Louisiana's critically important Public Health Laboratories are in need of significantly more space as well as technological upgrades. An existing vacant 38,000 SF lab building was re-designed and expanded with a two-story 33,000 SF addition to the existing building.
Careful collaboration between the principal scientists and CWA's laboratory designers has resulted in over 60,000 SF of new up-to-date lab spaces – including open "flex-labs" as well as Bio-Safety Level 3 laboratories. Additional lab spaces include chemistry, biochemistry, virology, and microbiology suites.
