Emergency Command Center

CWA was commissioned to design the Port’s new 14,800 SF (1,370 SM) Emergency Command Center. The Port owned a one-story office building; It was decided to locate the emergency command center on a second floor to be built above the existing one-story office space, and a new three-story addition with a "situation" room designed to provide views to the river. The Command Center features emergency power, sleeping and shower accommodations for emergency responders, and a state-of-the-art communications center.
